Stadium Overview

Huish Park is one of the larger and more recognisable grounds in the National League. Opened in 1990 after Yeovil Town moved from their old Huish ground, it sits on the edge of Yeovil rather than in the town centre and still has the scale of a club that spent many years in the Football League.

The stadium has four clear sides. The Main Stand and East Stand are both all-seated side stands, with the Main Stand housing key club facilities, executive boxes, the ticket office and club shop. Behind one goal is the covered home terrace, while the opposite end is the away terrace, which is traditionally uncovered.

Huish Park offers better scale and sightlines than many National League grounds, but its edge-of-town location means travel planning matters. For neutrals, the seated side stands give the best view and comfort. For atmosphere, the home terrace is the main traditional home end, while away supporters usually get a classic open terrace behind the goal.

Away End

Away supporters at Huish Park are usually situated on the away terrace behind one goal. This is an uncovered terrace and has traditionally held around 1,500 visiting supporters. The away section gives a clear behind-the-goal view, but it is exposed, so wet or cold weather can have a big effect on the experience.

Depending on the fixture and demand, away supporters may also be offered a limited number of seats in one of the side stands, but the standard away allocation is the open terrace. Visiting fans who need seating, cover or accessible arrangements should check well in advance rather than assuming these will be available on the day.

The away terrace is a proper old-style away end despite the stadium itself being a relatively modern build. It can be a good place to generate noise, but supporters should dress for the weather and check ticketing details carefully for larger fixtures.

Matchday Advice

Huish Park is not close to Yeovil town centre or either of the town’s railway stations, so travel needs planning. Yeovil Junction and Yeovil Pen Mill are both some distance away, and many supporters will need a taxi, bus or matchday service rather than walking.

Yeovil introduced new matchday bus services in 2025 to make travel to Huish Park easier, and supporters should check the club’s latest travel information before visiting. Drivers should allow extra time for traffic around the approach roads, especially close to kick-off, as queues can build near the final roundabouts.

For neutrals, the Main Stand or East Stand is the best choice for a clear and covered view. Away supporters should be prepared for the uncovered away terrace unless their club confirms seated tickets. Weather protection, travel planning and advance ticket checks are the three main things to get right for this ground.

Tickets

Yeovil Town tickets are sold through the club’s ticketing arrangements, with match information and prices published ahead of each fixture. Away ticket arrangements may be handled by Yeovil or the visiting club depending on the game, so away supporters should check their own club’s information first.

The standard away area is the uncovered away terrace behind the goal. Seating may be available for some fixtures, but supporters should not assume this unless it is clearly advertised. Anyone who needs cover, seating or accessible accommodation should contact the club before travelling.

For home or neutral supporters, the Main Stand and East Stand are the best choices for view and comfort. The home terrace gives the more traditional atmosphere. For larger fixtures, advance purchase is strongly recommended because Huish Park can attract significant attendances compared with many grounds at this level.

Stadium Rules

Huish Park operates standard football ground regulations, with ticket checks, stewarding and possible searches at entry. Supporters should use the correct home or away entrances and remain in their allocated areas when segregation is in operation.

Flares, smoke devices, fireworks, alcohol brought into the ground, glass bottles, weapons and other dangerous items are not permitted. Supporters should not enter the pitch, throw objects, block gangways or ignore steward instructions.

Large flags, banners, drums or musical instruments should be checked with Yeovil Town before travelling. Away supporters should be aware that the away terrace is uncovered and should follow steward instructions around entry, facilities and movement within the away section.

Accessibility

Yeovil Town provide disabled parking information for Huish Park. The Disabled Supporters Association oversees allocation of disabled parking spaces for home supporters, and home fans without allocated spaces or away fans wishing to use disabled parking should contact the DSA in advance. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Supporters requiring wheelchair spaces, companion tickets, step-free access or accessible seating should contact the club before travelling. This is especially important for away supporters because the normal away terrace is uncovered standing and may not be suitable for all disabled supporters.

Huish Park is larger and more modern than many non-league grounds, but its edge-of-town location and limited disabled parking mean arrangements should be made early. Supporters should confirm the correct entrance, viewing position and any companion or parking requirements in advance.

Stadium Tours

There does not appear to be a regular public stadium tour programme at Huish Park. Yeovil Town publish stadium, travel and matchday information, but routine bookable public tours are not clearly advertised.

Supporters interested in private access, group visits or community arrangements should contact Yeovil Town directly. For most visitors, the practical way to experience Huish Park is by attending a match rather than booking a formal stadium tour.
